Operational instruction

For the sake of you to operate our product easily and correctly, please read this instruction detailedly.

One Start up: this product adopts SMOS energy-saving circuit design, microcomputer switch and color-screen display. At using, switch on the side power-supply switch, the product begins to operate automatically; it will shutdown in time delay at blue-screen or non-using; it will also start up at using again; if it’s in long-time non-using or transport please power off.

Tip: blue screen is for normal operating; red screen indicates under-voltage.

Two Calibrate: put this instrument on the black A board with high glossiness, aim at the center, turn the adjustment knob to make the reading on display identical as the nominal. At this point, this instrument has been checked up and can be used in gauge.

Three Gauge: put the instrument which has been calibrated on the surface which will be gauged, the reading on display is the actual glossiness.

Four Verify: users may do it at irregular intervals according to the instrument state. Put the instrument which has been calibrated on the white B board with low glossiness, aim at the center, the reading on display should be identical or has an error under ±1.0 glossiness unit as the nominal on the board B. If it’s beyond the range, please clean the boards A and B and then do it again, or contact directly with us.

Five Charge: when the display gets red, the reading move up and down and be unsteady, and the instrument can not operate normally, which show it will be out of power supply, at this point it is essential to charge. When the charger is plugged in, the blue screen gets bright and charging begins, at the same time the instrument will shut down automatically. When the charging has been finished, the intellectualized circuit will switch off power supply automatically, and the red screen gets bright, which shows the charge has been full, please pull out the charger, and use it normally.

Application range

This product can be used in gauge and evaluation of glossiness of metal or non-metal material surface after they have been polished, such as paint, printing ink, paper, machining, marble, granite, terrazzo, ceramic tile and artificial marble.

Note: in strong sunlight, gauge of transparent or semitransparent material (such as white marble, creamy white and so on) do not accord with the operational principle of this product and the gauge value will deviate from the normal (semitransparent material can be gauged in the surroundings with dark light).

Precautions

One This instrument is of delicate optical instruments and should be kept in clean and dryness, avoiding use in places with a lot of dust or dirt . Because clean lens or not will influence the gauge precision directly. The lens can not be touched by hands, if there are dirt on it, it is ought to clean slightly using lens paper. The display windows should avoid direct sunlight. It is ought to move it slightly at using, and must avoid sharp pounding lest make damage to it.

Two Maintenance of the operational board: that the operational board is clean or not will influence the gauge precision directly, so user should keep it clean and dry, and never touch surface with fingers. If there are dirt or fingerprint on it, it is advisable to clean the board using lens cloth or paper with a little alcohol.

Three Maintenance of the battery: a set of nickel-hydrogen battery (four pieces, No.7) is installed in it, which pass through test and match well, featuring big capacity, long service life and no memory effect, and can service for three years at less.
