2. The Selection of Hall Probe

Normally, in order to meet the different test requires, manufacturer supplies probes with different specifications. When purchasing Gauss meter, please take the following items into consideration.

1) Measuring ranges and resolution. It depends on the probe and instrument.

2) InAir-gap magnetic field measurement, dimension of probe is very important. The hall probe size should be smaller than the gap.

3) The direction of probe. It includes transverse and axial probe.

Transverse probe is suitable for measuring the Electro-magnet magnetic field, magnet's surface magnetic field. Axial probe is used for measuring the magnetic field of solenoid.

4) Line length of probe. Normally it is fixed. But it can also be changed according to the customer's requires.

5) Auxiliary tools. In some particular test environments, to ensure accuracy of test and repeatability comparability, tester should equip the special auxiliary tools.
