1. Main Fuctions:

This apparatus is a kind of strain controlled direct shear apparatus used to test the shearing resistance of soil specimen. It carries out the shear testing by adding shearing force on four specimens taken from different vertical pressure, and read the result of shearing force when the specimen is broken down. According to Coulomb’s law, to determine the shearing resistance coefficient, internal frictional angle and cohesion of the soil .
