Calibration :
Immerse the tester up to the minimum immersion level in pH 6.86(or 7.01) buffer solution.
Allow the reading to stabilize with the supplied screwdriver, adjust the PH7 calibration trimmer to
6.86(or7.01)pH..
Rinse the electrode with top water immerse it into the second buffer.
Use pH4.00 if the solution to measured is acidic(pH<7),or pH9.18( 10.0) for alkaline samples(pH>7).
Allow the reading to stabilize and with the screwdriver adjust the PH4/10 calibration trimmer to read 4.00 or 9.18(or10.01) pH.
Calibration is now accomplished
Operation :
Remove the protective cap. Do not be alarmed if white crystals appear around the cap. This is normal with pH electrodes and they dissolve when rinsed with water.
Turn the meter on sliding the switch on the top.
Immerse into solution up to the max immersion level.
Stir gently and wait until the display stabilizes.
After use, switch off pH meter, use the water clean the electrode and replace the protective cap.
DO NOT USE DISTILLED OR DEIONIZED WATER FOR STORAGE PURPOSES.
Large fluctuations in readings could be due to lack of calibration, dry electrode or rundown batteries.
Battery replacement :
If calibration can not be performed or the display fades, batteries must be replaced .slide off the battery compartment cover and replace all four 1.5V alkaline batteries, while paying attention to the correct polarity.
Batteries should only be replaced in a non-hazardous area and using the battery type specified in this instruction manual.
