The WR series of armoured thermocouples for industry use are a type of temperature measurement transducer. They are generally used in conjunction with temperature transmitters, adjusters, indicators, etc. to form a process control system which can directly measure or control the temperature of various liquid, steam, or gaseous media and surface of solid matter within a temperature range of 0°-1800°. Connected at both sides by conductors consisting of two different types of elements, the thermocouple forms a loop. Difference in temperature at the two connecting points of the loop produces thermocurrent. Difference in temperature between working end and reference end of the thermocouple causes the indicator to display the corresponding thermoelectromotive temperature produced by the thermocouple.
