Operation theory

1. The zahn cup has a 12inches annular holder, hold it until the cup immerges in the liquid.

2. There is a ring in the middle of the holder; it is for keeping the cup in a vertical condition

when immerging.

3. When the cup is filled with liquid, lift it vertically, until the cup all out of the liquid, and then

press the stopwatch at the same time.

4. You can see the liquid flows out of the cup through the small hole at the bottom of it .Until

all the liquid is flowed off, stop the stopwatch at the same time. Then you will get the viscosity value of the liquid on the stopwatch.

5. The testing result in a special environment must be noted in zahn second, then convert it into centistokes.

Application

It is used at any place like workshop, factory or laboratory, rapidly test and adjust the viscosity of different fluid.This viscosity cup is to test the viscosity of Newtonian or similar Newtonian fluid.

Before using it you should choose a suitable cup, let the flowing speed at 10~90 seconds and also need a stopwatch with relatively high precision.
