Detection principle
The SENCI-ON uses exactly the same principles as radar employed by airplanes and marine vessels. For example,airplane radars emit radio waves in 360 degrees. Radio waves deflected by another airplane are received by the radar antenna. The time between the emission and the reception is used to calculate the distance to the second airplane. The direction of the antenna is used to determine its position in space. As the objects that the SENCI-ON detects are stationary, location and depth are determined by moving the antenna.
