Digital rebar corrosion detector
Corrosion of the rebar in concrete may reduce the rebar effective area, increase the rebar size, causing the expansion and fracture of concrete as well as the decrease of gripping force and bearing capacity of rebar and concrete, directly effecting its security and durability. Hence, the level of rebar corrosion within concrete is one of the most important issues when evaluating the integrity of a construction.
JS-C310 is a specialized apparatus; it is designed according to the electrochemical testing method (natural potential method) of “construction testing technical standard”. By using the electrode polarization theory, C310 tests the potential of concrete surfaces through a Cu/CuSO4reference electrode, and determines the level of rebar corrosion with the commonly used natural potential method.
