Cross Hatch Cutter Kit

The Cross Hatch Cutter is used to measure the adhesion of coatings on substrates. By drawing a multi-bladed cross hatch cutter across the surface coating, a lattice pattern of squares is produced. Special adhesive tape is applied over the lattice pattern and pulled off. The amount of surface coating removed indicates a pass or fail as per the ASTM/ISO Standards.

These kits comprise of: a cross hatch cutter, an illuminated magnifying glass, a brush and roll of adhesive tape, all in a carry case.

T01-00020 Cross Hatch Cutter 2mm - for use on coatings from 61 µm to 120 µm on both hard and soft substrates. Adhesion tapes with adhesion to steel rate of 4.3 Newtons/cm to 7.6 Newtons per cm.
