2.Introduction : It is used in patient with rather less tears. It is also particularly effective in evaluating the possibilities of wearing contact lens and predicting the potential problems for those individuals who may be not fit for some certain types of contact lens.
3.Application: Used for diagnosing abnormal corneal cells. It can diagnose the injury in cornea and conjunctiva at the same time.
4.Direction: Remove residual tears by cotton before test. Place the thread near conjunctiva. Thread changes from yellow to red when it is moistened by neutral tear. 20 seconds after moistened by tear, measure the length of part where color changes. 10 to 24 mm is normal. This number may be considered as the threshold of dry eye.
5.Attention:
* Remove residual tears before test.
* Do not blink during the test;
* Sterilized by oxirane. Single use only.
