The bulk density meter is designed to meassure the bulk density of powders and granular materials. It is specially useful in process handling of products such as tea, coffee, chicory, soups, sugar, milk, rice, wheat, cerials, pulses, oats, flour, instant coffee , etc. The system consists of a pan holding a 500cc measuring flask vibrating at a fixed amplitude of 3mm and a preset number of strokes. The number of strokes -anywhere between 1 to 9999-is selected according to material characteristics and other measurement criteria. After jogging the operation, the volume of standard 'weight of material' inside the flask is a clear measure of bulk density.
