AUTOPOL 1000 AUTOMATIC GRINDING & POLISHING HEAD
As an option, the AUTOPOL 1000 polishing head can be installed at the factory or as a future upgrade for the METAPOL SERIES. The AUTOPOL 1000 polishing head can polish from 1 to 6 specimens, with each specimen being polished independently of the others. This allows for easy removal and inspection of the specimen. Allowing for the polishing step to continue without the need to replane all of the specimens.
The primary benefit of the AUTOPOL 1000 head is its variable speed (0-200 rpm) which allows for greater flexibility in optimzing the grinding / polishing parameters which for individual polishing machines requires that the head and base speed be matched and run int the same direction to produce flat planar specimens. Other benefits of the AUTOPOL 1000 head include the ability to polish in either an automated or manual mode as well as the system includes a lubricating dispenser.
